What is MOBILITY IN GERMANY? MOBILITY IN GERMANY is a nationwide survey involving around 50,000 households. The study, which is being carried out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, concerns the day-to-day travel behaviour of Germans 2002 and 2008 (available in summer 2009). Similar surveys, then entitled "KONTIV" (Continuous Survey on Travel Behaviour), were carried out in 1976, 1982 and 1989. The data compiled in the course of MOBILITY IN GERMANY will be used both as a basis for transport planning in Germany and for scientific research on daily mobility.
