Thank you for your interest in MOBILITY IN GERMANY.
What is MOBILITY IN GERMANY? MOBILITY IN GERMANY is
a nationwide survey involving around 50,000 households. The study,
which is being carried out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of
Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, concerns the day-to-day travel
behaviour of Germans 2002 and 2008 (available in summer 2009). Similar surveys, then entitled "KONTIV" (Continuous
Survey on Travel Behaviour), were carried out in 1976, 1982 and
1989. The data compiled in the course of MOBILITY IN GERMANY will
be used both as a basis for transport planning in Germany and for
scientific research on daily mobility.

Here you can find further details on the methodology
and content of the study

under construction and will be updated on a regular basis.
The study 2008 is being carried out in a joint capacity
by the infas Institute for Applied Social Science Research and the
German Aerospace Center (DLR). Click
